Myrick, Mary J.

Mary J. Myrick was elected school Director in Peotone, Will County, Illinois in 1893.  The newspaper reporting noted that she was the only candidate in the race, and that women voters were almost 50% of the total who showed up at the polls.  Myrick was called a lady of grace and culture.
