Anna E. McPherson Edworthy
Anna E. Edworthy was the Prohibition Party candidate for State Superintendent of Public Instruction in Iowa in 1910.  She did not win the race.  Edworthy was president of the Des Moines branch of the Woman's Christian Temperance Union. As part of her WCTU Edworthy led a campaign in Iowa for a minimum wage for young working women.  This was considered a way to combat prostitution.
