Wilkins, Emma T.
Emma T. Wilkins campaigned for Larimer County, Colorado County Superintendent of Schools in 1904 and 1906. She was the Prohibition Party candidate and did not win the race. Wilkins ran again, this time as a Democrat, was elected in 1912, 1914, and 1916 as Larimer (Colorado) Superintendent of Schools. In 1916 she defeated Republican candidate Estella Flowers. Wilkins was a teacher of first through sixth grades. She became a member of the state board of examiners. She was born in New Jersey in 1876 and as a child came to Colorado with her family. In 1898 she graduated from the Colorado State Teachers College. Wilkins was single and resided in Fort Collins. She was a  member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the local Women's Club.
