Gage, Matilda Joslyn
Matilda Jocelyn Gage was a leader of the women's rights movement, a writer, thinker, and effective speaker. In 1884 Gage campaigned as a presidential elector for an at large position in the state of New York. She ran for the Equal Rights Party and supported Belva A. Lockwood for president and Marietta Stow for Vice President.
