Jennie E. Filcher was the Silver Republican candidate for County Superintendent of Schools in Jefferson County, Montana in 1898. She lost to the Democratic candidate Lillian Carey. Filcher ran again in 1900, and was elected. She served through at least 1904. Before her election Filcher was a local teacher.
