Dora W. Cryderman
Dora W. Cryderman was the unsuccessful Progressive Party candidate for the U.S. Congress from Washington State in 1914 and again in 1916. She was a teacher, married with no children. She served for two yeears, by appointment, on the county board of education. She also served for sixteen years on the state board of examiners for teachers. Cryderman supported equal suffrage. During her campaign she stated that, if elected, she would work to decrease burdensome taxes and that she believed the judiciary was overshadodwing Congress and the executive departments. Cryderman  emphaiszed that she was everyone's candidate not a woman's candidate.
