From collection Candidates
In 1894, a year after Colorado women won full suffrage, Elizabeth M. Craise ran for the State House of Representatives from Arapahoe County. She did not win. A year later she was the Prohibition Party candidate for City Clerk in Denver. Criase also campaigned for University of Colorado Regent in 1902. Eight years later Craise was a candidate for County Commissioner of Denver County's fourth district. She lost the race, coming in last out of four candidates.
